The Eco-Friendly Cleaning Co-op Network, powered by WAGES, is the realization of a long-standing dream. In 2009, four Bay Area co-ops launched by the non-profit WAGES (Women’s Action to Gain Economic Security) formed a Network for mutual support via joint marketing and purchasing, peer learning, and best business practices such as quality assurance. A fifth co-op also joined the Network as an affiliate.
Built on the cooperative spirit and a commitment to high quality work, the Network helps its member co-ops compete in the new economy.
The Network brings together four member cooperatives owned by highly motivated worker-owners who are professionally trained and skilled in Eco-Friendly Cleaning (EFC™) methods. These award-winning businesses serve satisfied clients in more than 50 cities in the San Francisco Bay Area, while creating healthy, dignified jobs for women.
